The North Star Tavern is our favorite place to eat. East Aurora has many nice restaurants but the NorthStar tops them all. The drinks are well prepared, the meats & fish always excellent and desserts a treat. The staff are exceptionally thoughtful. The owners are often on-site, setting a gracious tone and seeing everything is up to their high standard. The prices are reasonable and you can dress casually or dress up.

Sat at the bar. Nice wood bar and comfy chairs. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, affable, accommodating to requests (half pour liquor and half pint beer), and quick. Of their 6 drafts, 4 were craft and 3 of those were local. Small tv with the final four game on mute. The French onion soup is the best you’ll ever have. Just amazing. I heard people raving about the prime rib. Seems like both of those are available only on Saturdays. I will be back for that prime rib.

One of my favorite fish fry dinner experiences. Staff were warm and attentive, food was delicious and prices were very reasonable.

Great food, staff and atmosphere. Ordered the half fish fry (11) and got quite a bit of food and it included German potato salad. Since I've moved to Florida, it's been years since I've had German potato salad, but it tastes just like how my grandma makes it.

I've been in the service industry for 20 years. I had a rare Friday night off and finally got to try your place out. It was fantastic. The parking lot was full but we were seated without a wait. I had the beer battered haddock and blueberry tequila cocktail. Both were delicious. The beer batter was crisp and full of flavor. My husband and I loved dining on your beautiful patio. Service was great as well. Highly recommend!

Great ole tavern with that "down home" feeling. You may not know anybody going in but you feel comfortable among everyone. It was packed Friday night and after 2 snow blow/shovel days looked like all bee-lined here to get out and made it feel alive and fun. We started at the bar (standard move) and they got Genny so all was well. They have a great mixed menu and their Pierogi was delicious along with coconut shrimp. First timers so went beef on weck (perfect and plenty with good warm fries) and prime rib sandwich which my wife enjoyed (good portion as well). We will be back and try other items for sure.So many delicious sounding items. Nice touch was seeing the owner come into the room and stop and chat and thanking everyone.He had awesome friendliness and sincerity. The only negative was we felt we were being rushed a bit to open up the table. Perhaps next time eat at the cool bar instead. But if you like "old school/down home" you have to go to this local tavern. We will.
